It's still 9.1C! No sign of turning any colder yet! :D

rise in humidity causing a rise in dewpoints perhaps?

Does the north easterly start in the east and move across as the low sinks south east ?

I dont understand why snow would turn to rain here

If its a blizzard in Peterborough are the 850s 500s lower temps then here ?

the temp here has gone down but def rain at present

Just started snowing here very light at the moment didnt think it would turn to snow tbh but snowing it is just a matter of waiting now to see if any stays around

Errm, am I the only one who just saw a very faint flash of lightning in the distance? no rain now or snow confused:)

Just opened the front door and it was like getting off plane in spain,the warmth was amazing compared to a few hours ago :D

Heavy settling snow in St. Ives Cambs - good on Norwich for getting snow AT LAST.

I'd be out dancing in it if I wasn't such a wimp!

Snowing like mad here now, inch plus fallen easily. Not a happy bunny though, have no tv. Sky reciever dish is full of snow and ice so got no signal :D

your 20 miles to my east why you get so much and me none not fair, its rain here even although temp 0c

whats going on ?? Ill turn the heating off ??

Although it looks great outside, i've been outside and it's v.poor quality snow....very wet, rather than the dry powdery stuff....very slushy underfoot.

Guttering is overflowing and its a tropical 8.6c/dp7.8c,good job i think cause im going to have to swim to the car :lol:

Snow which comes from the Atlantic is usually wet - especially in the West country!!. I was born and bred in Bristol.

its now officially turned to heavy snow on the lincs/cambs border. ha i would take a picture of our snowman from thursday but the flash might wake the neighbours. hes taken a bit of a battering with the elements tonight.

still snowing in st.neots, although not heavy.

Just looked at the radar and theres some pretty heavy stuff still to pass through.

Is it still heavy snow in p'boro ?
