just been told by the next door neighbour his dad is stranded with a few others in a pub up in Cranam somewhere..conditions very bad

radio expect it to get worse by midnight

Well snow flakes much smaller here now, i think largely due to the drying out of the snow

Temps still dropping, 0.7c here with dew somewhere between 0c and -1c (currently showing -0c)

A bit more rain in the mix once again; give it until 10pm and then hopefully it will be all snow (and that's when I told everyone it may turn to snow lol). Seems it was only wet snow in the heavier burst.

quite heavy snow here for last hour. the bath junction area was snowing very early at around 5ish there will be a few inches up there tomorrow.

Finally moderate snow in Stroud - not many miles from Cranham at all! just need a slight drop in temp now for it to settle on wet surfaces...

I know! As for winter storms, I've seen better storms in a tea cup! rain is just what it does up here, nothing out of the ordinary... Pah!

Thankfully the temp/dewpoint have dropped at last - currently 2.3c/1.2c.

In a bit of a lull right now though it has been torrential for the last couple of hours.

Fingers crossed, in a few hours.....

Well heavy powdery snow falling at the moment, sticking everywhere. I feel it's a bit too little too late, there's a few inches on the mountain above me though I bet by now. I shall be heading up there tomorrow.
