Getting colder here now, 3C. Wasn't the coldest of days here. Norwich, Norfolk my location.

Everytime I come on here someone is moaning about downgrading or something. It's driving me round the bend! Got another night round my boyfriends tomorrow, so no access to net weather. Will have to pop on for a bit tomorrow before work. But by the time I come back Tuesday evening hopefully things will be more certain for Thurs/Fri.

Plenty of rain showers today here... although in the last one I might have seen a droplet or two of rain.

I'm guessing you meant sleet?

In Norwich the showers have largely become stuck up to the north, but it's 4C here so probably not cold enough for snow anyway. There is a chance of some wintry precipitation in Norwich tomorrow, though.

I'm interested to see if these showers turn to snow tonight in the Midlands as surface temps/dew points drop off.....Uppers are around -4C, most of the weather stations in the region are reporting DP's around 2C, with surface temps on average 4-5C currently....the radar is showing 3 distinct streams of showers pushing SW'erly from the NE coast weakening as they do....might be a dusting for the Peaks tonight?

Currently -0.3 in Harleston, I have no clue what's going to happen this week now though, suffering from model and rollercoaster fatigue I think!!

Someone has already claimed falling snow in the Luton area, though that seems far-fetched to me. Certainly there was sleet in one of our showers during this morning.

Just checked this with family down in Luton and there is no snow in the luton area, must have been dandruff blowing in the wind :)

I suspect that the poster saw sleet and mistook it for snow.

Yep, wet snow! Under a security light theres a defining moment between sleet and snow, just hard to call.ph34r.gif
