Anyone got an eta for the main band, looked about 5pm on the latest beeb

The main band should reach Manchester around 7pm. There could be bits of precipitation ahead of it too.

Is the main band likely to fall as rain in some places? and is tomorrow just showers?

A nice little covering now from seemingly not much snow at all! topped up our earlier covering to 2cm, not much but I'm just pleased to see snow at this time of year.

I think there will be some rain to start with. Tomorrow will be the best day for you!

The latest bbc24 forecast showed the snow showers tomorrow merging together over our region!

The snowfall has stopped but gave a nice thin covering. It looks like remaining mostly cloudy for the remaining daylight hours.

IM startin to to have reservations about this evening guys.

Temp is above zero here now its gone noticeably warmer in the last 2 hours.

UNless that cold air catches up and undercuts a lot of could be seeing sleet/wet snow, posibly rain.

Hope im getting this wrong but the beeb could well start to inc rain in the forecast tonight.

Slight snowshower here, leaving a dusting on the already frozen ground. No doubt going to cause some problems later on when the main Snowband comes along and puts further Snow Accumulation ontop of the already frozen-over patches.

Light snow here.

We aren't even on the coast, about 10/12 miles inland..from what I am watching on beeb interactive multiscreen weather, it seems the snow will hit our area, cheshire.
