Bright sunshine here. I'm praying that I can hold on to as much snow as possible before it begins to freeze

Good luck to those of you who are to the South of me :)

It will hold on, most of the snow round here isn't melting, on the roof it is melting, while at the same time freezing into icicles.

Not to sure how powder snow reponds to temps, does it melt quick or fast i don't really know.

Nice moderate snow shower for the last 10 mins or so, added a little to what we've got. Was nice to see Scarborough beach white earlier this morning.

Three heavy snow showers during the past couple of hours preceded by graupels before the snow arrived. Although it has settled I don't think it will stay on the ground for too long, as least in town.

Chucking it down here Lewis, now coming your way.

Just taken me an hour to drive 20mph all the way from Driffield to Beverley.

Witnessed several accidents along the way.

Looking good !!

Should that happen, it may become very interesting indeed -

particularly if it falls where there's already lying snow.

I have a feeling that tomorrow's event could be more

productive than this one.

Just to add: It's been reported that there were around 60 school closures,in North Yorkshire, today.
