Looking at the radar , it currently shows snow within a stones throw from here in swansea , sooooo close its unreal ,but most reports on here are quoting rain/sleet, how accurate are these radars??

Perhaps its just my lampost playing tricks.

I swear if theres no snow soon that lampost is getting a kicking.

Just started to sleet here. Been clear before hand though. Hope it turns to thick snow soon.

Still sleeting heavily. Temp still rising though, 2.3c now.

If you got sleet at 700ft inland Barb, then my meagre 300ft or so within a mile or so of the coast means i got no chance for some time.

Tonight has had good and bad good point it didn`t rain here under the mild sector.

Bad point snow only turned out light in the end, snow grains now at 0.3c and icy.

Not even most of the midlands did very well either.

There is good news the cold stays until christmas if UKMO comes off showing a slack easterly so any snow should stay when the showers come tomorrow, don`t hold me to that though.

The bbc take forecast from meto - senior forecaster normally in Exeter.

They use all the models including ukmo GFS ECM GEM and others. Human intervention then looks at whole picture and decides most likely outcome

The BBC use FAX chart created by meteorologists at the Met Office as such it is largely based on the UKMO charts but they do take other charts into consideration including the ECM.

Personally I think the temps at the surface are likely to remain on the cold side until Christmas.

However only Sunday and Monday's weather are even close to be in the reliable timeframe.
