Temp fallen away fast here, now down to -1.5C, DP of -4.2C. Not much in the way of cloud cover, and virtually no melt of lying snow through today so still pretty much 100% cover.

Just wondering,

What's your thoughts on the showers John, will they start sinking southwards when the wind switches to a more Northerly component.

A few more powdery flakes here. I love seeing powdery snow - not a common sight around these parts.

Showers ever so slowly moving south, with some showers forming just East of us in the N sea, should start to get interesting now, as the GFS had showers pushing close to over us around 8-10pm :)

Ever so light snow here in East Leeds, as it appears on my camera.

Well am staying in tonight with suspected swine flu and watching the radar and forums. Not much happening around this area

chris

Light snow here at the minute, beginning to settle on cars. The radar is looking more interesting too.

Wouldn't call it moderate either, just light snow with medium size flakes.

Edit: I would be really surprised if LBA achieved -9.c, http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/2535?count=10

We keep getting the odd light flurry that settles for about 2 seconds then melts, must be down to the air temp being around 3. The dews are good though, well below freezing at -4

Been snowing for the last 30 minutes, the snow is light to moderate, there is now a dusting of snow.

Fortunately I'm now in the line of showersdrinks.gif

aggressive.gif Big downgrade on latest bbc forecast for showers tom.

Yeah. I though that too. Little if any snow showers over us tomorrow, perhaps over the North York Moors. Still hopeful thought .

Is there a reason why our temps here near the coast are so high (3 degrees) Why are they not nearer freezing like during the last cold snap?

Looks like showers will be finally reaching East Yorkshire, we have had quite a few showers tonight with some big flakes, mostly light to moderate in intensity.
