To be honest, I hate living in the northwest, all I ever hear is MARGIANAL, MARGIANAL , MARGIANAL

Margi who?...i'm sure i've seen a video of her once or twice :nonono::):)

had a quick blast of snow about an hour ago, proper flakes and was accumlating - it's now reverted to a more fine granular fall, though it's chasing a keen wind. I guess any fall is encouraging, but this is merely the icing sugar lol

ooops told a fib oops.gif - the grains are becoming flakes now clap.gif

You can't have had it that bad according to your signature.

Until this winter I hadn't seen anything like that for years!

It is snowing lightly in Manchester with a moderate northeasterly wind! At the same time, I can see the hazy moon rising in the sky! It's a beautiful scene but it means I can't expect the snow to get any heavier...

There is some snow on the ground left from the morning snowfall, which I expect to get icy pretty soon!

As soon as the Rain makes conatct with the ground it turning into sheet ice already seeing cars sliding around on the road.

whyo's got any news from saddleworth? atm here, the wind is causing the snow to whip in almost horizontally. Granted it's fairly light flakes, but given a bit more elevation, you might pick up some blizzard conditions - bet the M62 is a no go currently.

I'm pretty high up and the snow is horizontal as well, the wind is light-moderate and the snow is moderate, so far there is 5cm of fresh snow.

I meant previously:-

EXTREMLEY HEAVY SNOW WITH MEGA FLAKES - 1

Frosts - 6

Airfrosts - 6

Snow - 3

Ice days - 1

Minimum so far - -3.2c- 18/12/09

Snow falling - 3 days

Snow laying - 5 days

Hail - 1 - LEFT AN INCH!

Lowest maximum so far: 0.7c - 18/12/09

I admit - pretty poor right now ina few places including my own.

On a positive note my temp is now starting to drop (2.1c) and definitely my dp (0c) so there is hope yet :)

I've been trying to say this for a while.

I do not live at a location as elevated as some of the other posters from Saddleworth on this thread, however I can say that the temp. has dipped a fraction below freezing and the snow is beginning to drift. good.gif

PS. Like the avatar by the way - good film laugh.gif

Ahaa...you stay here, your a Lancastrian like the rest of us lol Actually although it's not powdery fluffy flakes of snow (like this morning, and just aswell probably with the current wind strength) I'm getting fine snow, blown by a strong wind. It's actually blowing alot of the lying snow around from this morning falls.

So stay in the North West thread :drinks:

Woo! Bring on the rain.

Seriously if it's heavy the freezing level will drop allowing it to snow.

1.2c atm.
