Austria, he'll have his fair share there so I don't feel too bad for him. Still, it's not like waking up to snow in your own garden, that's infinitely more exciting.

Ah, right...he should be OK for snow then, but as you say.........nothing beats your own personal snow!

The PPN seems smaller than what was progged..

Is that stuff up north meant to swing south?

Still looks good to me Aspire, going from the latest NAE 06Z it actually ups the totals furher west, GFS 06Z, takes it slightly eastwards(if you believe it over the higher res METO model, but still has totals widely of 10-15cms over the SW, higher in some areas.

any more bad news you want to give ?.

Bad news.....

its snowing......and then sun is out.

Not a single blimming flake down in the far west. This is so annoying. I really thought we would have our first decent dump of snow today but alas not to be.

Steady...acute.gif

Anyone got any current temps? Def above freezing here now.

1.5 degrees at Filton airfield (NE Bristol/S.Gloucs) at 11 o'clock.

Cloud cover has slowly been increasing here during the morning, from the NW. I shall take that as a positive sign!

The main snow is meant to develop as a small LOW forms over the South/English Channel as the uyrrent trough/front edges South through the afternoon/evening.

Yep trying to settle now with some slightly heavier stuff

The whole front, incidentally, is starting to pivot....its movement will become slower and slower, and im still expecting some interaction over the bristol channel as it pivots

Ah, joy.......I have just spotted a few tiny flakes!

The big stuff is coming tonight though, isn't it? :yahoo:

At least the ground etc. is still fozen and frosty, which should help it to settle.

I hope.
