Hi Guys,

Several inches here in Rhymney Valley and no sign of a let up! Not much activity going on outside - except snow.

not immediately - but over the next couple of days the winds are gonna swing back to a North westerly bringing snow showers back down cardigan bay and onto pembs etc

absolute blizzard here in Ponty - feels like we've been magically spirited away to the artic on some science outpost - amazing scenes - won't be able to go anywhere today

Getting heavier here in Pencoed again. I assume the band now has a good westward swirl?

seems to be trying to re-invigorate itself - getting some energy from somewhere - if you look on sat pics "sat24" eg you can see the band expanding - not sure what that means as regard general forecast but gfs has the snow continuing at least up till lunchtime and possibly beyond - not what the forecasters are saying though

Got a good few inches here. Winter Wonderland. Just hoping that it doesnt move to far SW.

Need that arm over south central Eng to continue East. Think it will drop south though

you'll get some more in the next couple of days once the winds switch back to a NW and showers will come in off cardigan bay again

Well!! We have about 3 - 4 inches and more still falling but looking at the radar the band is dropping off to the south. I think this will stop after about another hour. Never mind - its been lovely!

Just measured the snow depth here in Cwmbran ( west pontnewydd ) 150m asl and we've got just over 9 inches of snow!

Its still emptying down but looks set to stop within the next 40 minutes or looking at the radar....so I reckon 9 half inches depth

Would still love to get a foot of snow at some point this winter, fingers crossed will happen at somepoint! this snow looks great, not sure how long it will last though.
