I would like some more snow:) pleeeaaaasssseee

think you'll see some in swansea off these showers coming in

talking to my dad about past snows on the phone just now and he remembers 1947 with snow up to the bedroom window - cars submerged in snow on country lanes etc - we're not quite there yet but who knows!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah my parents said about how the snow was soo deep some times that you would be walking on top of cars and not know it, and they could climb out of their windows etc, would love it to be as deep as the car although at the same time i wouldn't.

Any chance we could get some of those showers?

good good thats what i like to hear lol mixture of thicker cloud and thiner cloud which the sun can just get through here, hope those showers dont take too long to get here! Looking foward to the chance of more snow over the weekend :wallbash:

Nothing spectacular- another couple of cms if you get a heavy burst...

It has developed slightly over the last hour.

I remember 82 having to go the the outlaws and digging them out, not because the old man couldnt do it but both of the doors were on the same side. All they could see when they opened the doors was a wall of snow. Great fun tunneling in. Garden gates and fences you just stepped over thats when you could see them.

It's still going strong in Newport. Very light flakes just being blown horizontally. From the NW radar it just looks like very light ppn just not budging?

where is this streamer heading then?

in mid wales at the mo - but it's dropping southwards as well so may start to deliver around lunchtime your way

Good night last night people, got quite a bit of snow which i didn't expect, did not get the real heavy snow though, it missed here. Most schools shut though.

Got the left foot, right foot, header hat-trick here yesterday:

some snow from the trough in the morning, some snow from the Irish Sea low in the afternoon and some snow from the depression over night!

Sky weather is showing something impressive happening on Sunday with loads of snow over Wales & England, is this something we should be worried about or just an over exaggeration?
