My son just phoned saying hes been let out of college early in Canterbury, hes going to get the train up to Maidstone within the next couple of hours, is he likely to encounter problems?

temps have dropped by half a degree in the last hour - down to 0.8c now

the light / mod snow we have had from 8am this morning continues - some small addition to the 5cm we already had. Here's hoping for a nice heavier fall later this pm / eve

virtually nothing here in south norfolk, as I expected, everywhere but here. And im totallly sure that will be the case tomorrow and fri, just like it was before christmass and last feb. Has anyone got some rope?

i know how you feel snow plough our snow shield is up and working as well

lets hope the next few days are better or im off to homebase for some rope as well

its gotta improve for us

Looks like I'm just south of the heavier precip thats hitting West Essex right now, probabl 5-10 miles north and its gonna settle, down here it still needs a bit more strength before it does anything worth while.

Dry slot looks like its working its way down as well...

Huge snowflakes now! Size of 50p or small feathers!

Has been non stop since last night. Though it is really sticking now. Will be interesting for the rush hour!

energy dropping in the band off the N Sea, looks like less falling snow will be likely.

Colder air definitely digging in now. Another 0.2ºC drop in both dew point and temp in the last 20 mins. Significantly that puts the air temperature below freezing now.

There is a moderate risk of severe weather continuing to affect much of eastern England during Saturday.

WOW!!!

All i can say!

Heaviest snow ive seen in 10 years here in Felixstowe!! At my mums 5 miles away there is only about inch!!

Must be close to 5/6 inches in the garden and a couple on the road!!

This is going to be a very interesting week!!
