Loads of snow showers here last night, giving a further 3-4cm, currently have around 15cm:

Alot more to come - especially overnight by the looks of it :cold:

I know we are expecting a lot of snow [hopefully ?] overnight tonight BUT I thought the whole southern half of the UK was expecting snow on Monday? Warnings seem to have changed again and i can find anything here or in the model discussion for Monday ! Anyone shed any light ?

thx

p.s about an inch fell last night bringing total to around 3 inchs laying snow...pretty lame considering some areas of Kent have had sooooo much more

It's the side roads that are a problem , apparantly the main roads are ok... So if you are going near side roads be careful ! , i live just north of canterbury and i have alot of snow

Colour me confused - we have a shower over us according to the radar but the sky here is crystal clear :cold:

Had a good covering overnight and just had another heavy shower to top it up.

Looks like more to come in the next 10 minutes too.

Then we move into tonight and the early hours.....could be interesting

Had a couple of showers this morning and clouding over again as I type.

Sounds like parts of Kent did well last night!

Anyone care to take a guess what my chances are for today and tomorrow in the CM8 area of Essex?

The BBC had us under a lovely 'splodge' of snow on their graphics yesterday but that seems to have disappeared! Also all the snow showers that were across the whole of the south yesterday have disappeared!! :cold:

Looking at the radar, and these are the accumulations of snow last night from 21:30 to 09:30 today.

Central/East Kent did best, say the Lenham, Tenterden, Charing area, with at least 8cm (if not more) falling in places.

Morning all.

Lite dusting here last night but only about 2-3cm

i am probably going to make myself unpopular for saying this but the warm front/system coming up from Europe and over Holland has all ready starting to decay, if you look at the latest radar loop for Northern Europe you can see the level of decay http://www.meteox.com/h.aspx?r=&soort=loop24uur&URL and if you focus in on Holland and watch the last few hours you can see the decay happening. dont think that we are going to quite get the apocalypse that some are hoping for.
