We seem to be getting some of the edge of the streamer in Shoebury here being right on coast. We've definitely had some more outside, and radar looking good for more potential this morning.. Everything now is just a bonus on what we already have laying. :cold:

The only downside to all this is it has killed the car :cold:

Well me and the misses hav'nt been to sleep yet after a fun party round friends. All i can say is that has been the maddest night for snow round these parts for many a year. Very heavy snow showers all night and a lovely thick covering everywhere. Being bang on the coast we normaly miss out on the heaviest snow falls but we seemed to cop the lot all night, still snowing now and loadsa shower activity to come it would seem. Dont normaly do the smiley thing coz they are annoying but seen as its a special occasion.... :cold:

Is that an orange or the take action red warning from the Met Office?

yes thats what we are doing today. was originally meant to be driving to hertfordshire and back today, but that was already 90% decision made to cancel, and now the car dying made our minds up. Supermarket by bus though as cupboards are bare!

There seems to be so much potential for this and surrounding areas over today and tomorrow.

The radar is showing Dover as a perfect target for snow showers this morning, but looking outside there is nothing happening :/ I'm confused.

Slight additional covering in Dartford today from a shower round about 03:30 this morning, plus a few flakes are falling now out of what would appear to be a clear sky. Anybody know if the snow is still on for tonight / tomorrow.

Lightest of light snow now, just a few flakes drifting in on the wind. The line coming in over Chelmsford keeps promising but ultimately fizzles out.

Wouldn't mind 5cm or so to freshen up the cover.

Met office update says Wintry showers today and tonight for the SE, with wintry flurries tomorrow in a brisk wind.

Would this considered be a downgrade or a cya exercise just in case?
