Because it has alot of high ground to get over before it reaches you guys. I suspect the intensity will diminish once it passes over Dartmoor (and the likes of the Beacons in wales)

06Z GFS is indicating around 15cms, NAE though a much lower 7-8cms.

Go middle ground then.... 10cm and 15cm on higher ground. laugh.gif

I wish.

Its good that the models show decent falls. However as we all know, The models will and do struggle with PPN in consitions like this. So some places could see a lot more..

Maybe even thundersnow? ( Warm air hitting the cold air? )

Does seem slow considering it should be at somerset by mid afternoon roughly.

you can forget all the original times for this arriving coz its slowed up the ETA in bristol is now 10-11pm so still got another 12 hours or so yes but it looks fantastic well worth waiting for.

ographic conditions can play a significant role in precipitation anomalies and moisture (Cotsworld's)

Hopefully on this side might dump alot of snow

edit..then I would like some warmer weather...lol

after the event

06Z NAE is STILL showing considerable snow for Cornwall and Devon only 6 hrs away.

That's encouraging :unknw:

Nice fax chart for tomorrow at 06hrs, most of Devon and ne Cornwall still on the northern flank of the occlusion so the precip should remain as snow into the morning. Still waiting for the rest of the NAE to come out.

Frequent light flurries of snow at present and wind is picking up a bit, its going to be a long wait to see if the snow gets here or not - still all to play for :unknw:
