Radar picking up some snow showers over Dartmoor ahead of the main band, which does seem mainly rain over Cornwall, with the exception of possibly Bodmin Moor.

On the weather forecasts this PPN was shown as being heavy snow over southern Ireland but according to the netweather radar it is rain

I guess the interaction is going to occur further north and east? :cc_confused:

It's a just a huge low and of course Ireland is further West so gets hit first.

Just had a look at the latest rainfall radar, that is some really heavy stuff just off Lands End, and the satellite imagery is equally impressive, if that is snow that is coming then there are some really heavy falls coming your way my friends.

To be honest i cant see any excitement now for Cornwall and Devon because by 6.00 am wednesday it will be raining. Even across the moors.

Somerset into N.Somerset will hold on just to the colder temps so sleet or snow (patchy) ....north of Bristol patchy snow tomorrow morning dying away.

Also the snow into Gloucester looks like dying away and patchy at 5.00am tomorrow. Seems to just get above Bristol then start to fizzle out.

As long as it makes it here before my thaw has destroyed the winter wonderland.

Radr picking up some heavy snow over Cornwall now, looks a bit too north for Bodmin...but it might be.

At this rate it might get here by midnight.... lazy.gif

It has just started precipitating in Plymouth. very close to coast, 50m asl.

It is sleet.

I am just heading back to work 4 or 5 miles further inland, and around 100meters higher up - wet snow possible i guess.

Temp is 3.5oC, may drop a bit as the band moves over, but trust it to hit at the warmest part of the day!

As it hits the southern slopes of Dartmoor?

Looks that way, bodes well for high ground, looks like sleet lower down though. We shall see.

Gonna be interesting if the wind keeps up though!

They skill likes like it will give me snow and the temp is 0.0C exactly with a DP of -3.C so if it get here without fizzling out I will have an accumulation....
