Guys is it worth me staying up or is it a no hoper? just seen neilsouth saying its a whiteout is it coming this way or not?drinks.gif

hello wee...was just thinking the same...i am in brighton tonight...skies still clear i see....hmnm i may have to get an early one...shame there is no snow alarm i can set on this laptop.......huh.gif i havent seen a white out for aaaaagggees....

Id stay up for the next hr or hr 30mins if you don't get anything go to bed , it's heading your way but it might die over land

folkestone has been an absolute mess apparently. gridlocked, accidents. my partner in ambulanc service stuck on motorway for 2 hours, another friend stuck on a20 for 3 hours. i was skidding more than ever earlier, wonder if roads will be clear tomorrow - hope so - but also want tons of snow. any more heading ashford/lyminge/ashford way pleasE? radar looks northerly and as such its pushing showers away :/

Hi Polar Bear,well Neilsouth says give it another hour or so and if nothing then go to bed as it is coming this way but it could fizzle out,fingers crossed we get a whiteout xdrinks.gif

Hi all been quite here for a lil while anyone got any views? by the looks of the radar it seems showers on and off all night for my neck of the woods. up for another hour so hopefully see something or a nice fresh dusting in the morning.

its just a few showers, giving the odd Kentimetre or so....

neil clearly hasnt ever seen a real "whiteout"

thats what i thought. seems as though some of the showers are starting to move in more of a westerly direction towards essex.

Looks like its intensifying as well. Expect this to hit your area at around 1am. Think I may be a tadd too far north but you lot may get up to 10cm from this!

The reason - Stop start stop start stop start , it doesn't last very long either :angry:

Still though that snow shower was incredible to see , probably the best in a good few years. It's the wind behind it that makes it seem far worse , big size flakes though and alot of em.

Been snowing on and off here for a few hours and it has started again and settling a lot more and there's even more to come according to the radar :clap::yahoo:
