TWO dead in Plane crash in Hampshire, fire crews at the scene.

The crash at present is a mystery and authorities are investigating..

BBC said asoon as the get more they will say

they are still investigating and at this time wont say if this was caused by ash..

all they know is the plane tried to make a force landing on a road..

but ended up in a field

Looking like another normal sunset coming up.

Hopefully Mondy the aircraft will get back. I presume they'll have to check the engines on landing just in case.

if that aircraft went down because of ash then it shows you this ban on flying is justified...

wont know whats happened just yet for a while...

i bet its put the fear up pilots flying light aircraft

as anyone got a live cam

Hopefully it's not the ash that caused it. Generally a light aircraft wouldn't be affected - just has a powerful combustion engine and the ash wouldn't cause any harm.

However if it's a turbo-prop type..... well thats a different story, turbo engine therefore same problem as with a jet engine so would be very very bad news indeed.

IMO KLM are trying to cut the red tape?risk factor down to a minimum, ressession etc...

Everybody is aware of the implications of risk assesment these days, well done KLM

Bet they are OK and everything goes on in a reduced fashion despite the ash, we cant afford months of this afterall.

People killd on other forms of transport due to air ban V Risk flying dodging ash( because we will go bust otherwise)

Risk lol

Russ

I know little or nothing about Air transport B/w, just thinking aloud.

Unfortunately, it's about an hour out. Good find though - nice view!

But Iceland is 1 hour behind our time though isnt it?

Watch out for the four or five Lufthansa B747 parked up at Frankfurt airport (on a short hop from Munich today) take to the skies in future tests. Very conceivable. Hats off to Boeing/KLM, or plain crazy? Who knows!

Now is about the best time to develope an ash resistant jet engine, the data from that flight is worth $$$

Yes, the sunsets have been unremarkable so far

Clouds, just a few clouds and we will see.
