She just said take a brollie out with you (in Kent/Sussex) tomorrow, no mention of TS ... about right I'd say!

If your not happy with her Nick we could swap her with one of our forecasters :D

Ok..Im prepared for tomorrow....

heading for the South East for the evening lightning...maybe Oxford way my limit...or north towards Brum and far as Yeovil South

Remains of that Manchester cell probably just passed over me, no electrical activity or high winds but was some pretty heavy rain in it.

just read nicks storm forecast , another exciting day!

for us in the SE at least the feature that will be creating the storms is moving SE! so the further towards kent the more likely to have something after dark i think...anyway storms are needed down here arnt they 0-:

Here in Crewe around 6am we had a very heavy shower with the sky looking very dark another storm or heavy shower might be on its way.

showers growing fast in other areas already like Hampshire and Manchester are fairly torrential by the look of things

Im still waking up but it looks like the 00Z took a lot of the action much further south west and the met forecast has removed pretty much all of the daytime heavy showers from my location.

Well if the local weather done by Ian this morning is to be believed, then once again I will miss out on all the action, with most of it to the south of me through the day, then some showers in the evening passing to the north.

Looking at the last NMM & GFS charts, I would say that you're just about in the perfect place to see a storm & possibly something more exciting....The zone of low level wind convergence is slap bang over your head during the time of maximum daylight heating, coinciding with the highest CAPE values & lift....you lucky beggar!..... :drinks:

They're very localised, dry here.

The rain just woke me up. I'm not joking, that was some of the heaviest rain i've ever seen, ever. That intensity has only been surpassed on a couple of occasions.
