Lol

My wife puts up with a lot of shit with me being away for nearly 2 months but even I would not be allowed to Chase Hurricanes at the drop of a Hat or Typhoons. Although It is interesting that when Alison gets the hump Stu gets very nervous and calls her "dear" quite a lot and lots of Grovelling etc denoting that she wears the trousers. Hehe

I think ultimately the girls know it is our passion though :whistling::help:

.

I'd quite like to see a tropical cyclone, but you couldn't really plan for it.

I remember ChaserUk (who used to post on here a while back) went after one. Cat 2 I think. Put himself through screaming winds gusting up to 100 mph right on the coast. Awesome stuff.

Yip you'll need one. Its the online version of the Visa waiver form you used to have to fill in on the plane or on arrival. Its good for 2 years. It used to be free but there is a small charge now. No rush in getting it but make sure you do it a week or two before you fly.

I think they might still make you fill out the Visa waiver form also but that on the way out. Either way, its essential you get it done.

Stu doesn't go with us but we bump into him a good bit. He's normally with Roger Hill and Silver Lining tours. He sometimes drives for them.

Thats grand so, just wanna have everthing sorted out in advanced .

Cheers John. :drinks:

Do we need to get any vaccinations before we go ?

You will just need to prepare for any insects that bite and I had been doing some research and can offer the follow advice. Use the following insect proof kit.

That means you Pat. Oh and it can protect you from sunburn and large hail.

I just want to say hi to any other tour 2 guests and techie staff later this year.

I really can't wait. I am coming with two friends, Martyn and Chris who are a good laugh (but may not know what they have necessarily let themselves in for).

We are flying out to Dallas on the 9th of May arriving at Dallas at 15:25 local time (we like to be there early just in case)

Does anyone know of a good hotel to stay in for the first night?

I have a new camera ready and waiting -a canon 550d. Is there some kind of photosensitive detection device that can be used to trigger lightning shots does anyone know?

Cheers.

Really looking forward to it.

Ed

Hi to you too

They are letting themselves in for a good time.

As for hotels the hotel that Netweather normally use is not too far from the airport and they have a free shuttle bus. You can book on line.

If you want I can send you the address, you will need an address for your on line visa etc.

On the lightning trigger there's a couple of units around.

The one I use is from, it is expensive however:

http://www.lightningtrigger.com/

Another is available and is cheaper, don't know how well it performs:

I guess you pays your money and takes your choice.

Very useful gadget in daylight storms.

God damn BA and their flight prices; up and down more often than a prozzies knickers! :wallbash:

Will Hopefully end up on the same flight as yours Ed and I think Pat is too. We'll end up staying in the local Best Western with the free shuttle bus, it's this one

Best Western Irving Inn & Suites at DFW Airport,

4110 W Airport Freeway, Irving

Really getting excited now! like a child at xmas :D

Are there any Nikon users with a recommendation for a decent body around £500 max? Was going to go canon but the missus knackered her Nikon by putting a memory card in the wrong way zzzzz so I've got plenty lenses already and seems stupid not to use them.

Cheers

Arron :drunk:

Lol Ed

Yep have had 4 Bookings this week alone, its the time of year for it, people booking holidays left right and centre atm. Richard and Clare came on Tour 4 Last year and saw the amazing Campo Tornado. They are great guys and Clare will take us to a Shooting Range if we get a down day as she is pretty handy with a Glock17 or AK47 :help::shok:

Over 50% of the bookings this year are from Repeat Members so that probably tells you all you need to know wether you are going to have a good time and what Clare says is correct, once you go you are completely Hooked.
