So that's it for winter 2010/2011. Who would have thought after December that the rest would be so poor.

See you next winter for more fun and games and hopefully more northerlies like the weekend of December 17th when this place was packed and every radar blob was white.

:drinks:

A good start to Winter 2010/2011, a dissapointing second half.

One cannot complain though, certainly a memorable winter.

Was still a great winter to me, with just February being the disappointment. If charts like from the 0z GFS comes off, we still might get another ol' dumping yet!

Back in Tipp for the weekend so got access to the weather station. Average minimum has been -2.4C so far this month with the lowest being -3.1C yesterday morning, and the average maximum has been 8.6C.

Next week looking little interesting anyway, looks likely that somewhere will get some snow, though nothing like the kind seen during November or December.

Still a possibility that we may see a wintery mix down south on Sunday, but nowhere near what the GFS was offering last week!

So many different opinions about this weekend and beyond! I think we may see something wintry!! Anybody care to give their views of the next few weeks? Watcher?

Just a quick update, will give a more detailed one later.

This week looks like having a wintry mix around it, more so the weekend.

A wintry shower just about anywhere, risk of lying snow during daytime is minimal, but chance of evening/overnight showers producing a slight covering early morning in favourable spots which will quickly melt in the semi-strong spring sun.

yeah just saw that. would be quite sceptical about the chances for snow on low ground but hills could get a good dump.

Very quiet in here saying that we have a big spell of snow on the way for tonight! Watched the BBC forecast earlier and it had downgraded our chances of getting snow but it has since upgraded and it looks like we could see some substantial snow by dawn!!

Would be nice to see one last fall of snow before the Spring really gets going! Looking forward to later tonight to see what happens. If we don't get snow then i will head up to the Glenshane tomorrow!

3.2c here with rain unfortunately.

Think uppers will be less favourable from now on though and sleet/wet snow will be the best we will see apart from high ground above 2-300m.
