Been sunny here since 9:30 am and warming up nicely now, currently it's 19.2'c in CMK. A fair bit of large cumulus bubbling up now. Not sure if we'll get some showers let alone a storm. The only event to go bang from a plume was the two male peacocks I saw on the way to Woburn fighting in someones garden yesterday afternoon

Broken-S signature now registering over the Northeast. Conclusive with the high shear, low CAPE environment its currently placed in. A good chance of Tornadic activity already taking place under this line, if not already.

BOOM cg strike out west! There's a roll shape of dark cloud, then a greenish grey area behind where the lightning came from :D

Heavy rain though most of last night but no thunder, however, the lights in the Leisure Ventre did go off about 19:30 so I guess there was some lightning about...somewhere.

Rain died off about 08:30 this morning and since then it has been cloudy with subnny spells. Humidity is at 84% currently and the temp is 17.6°C so there should be plenty of energy, especially if the sun stays out.

Usually it is quite good in this are with these set-ups so let's see what happens later on. Quietly confident.

sun's come out now after a band of rain. Temp rocketing up. Was 15.4c 5 minutes ago, now 16.6. Looks like I'll be in the thick of the convective action this afternoon!

Windy today with a lot of cumulus. The sun shining on them looks very pretty.

low-topped convection around here. Mainly some high-alt murk giving the drizzle we just had 10 mins ago from the passing Occluded front. Good news now is that this part of the world is clear of the frontal zone at least, with looking SW'wards later on to see if the trough forecast into tonight gives anything substantial.

And its over. 10 minutes of torrential rain, 8 visible flashes of lighting (2cg) and 10 rumbles of thunder. I'll settle for that :D

Lots of mid level cloud following on, I think that'll be it for this afternoon.

EDIT: Just checked, 4mm fell in those 10 minutes - that's 24mm per hour!

EDIT 2 : Another rumble as it moves away, that makes 11.
