Thought I might have a year without hail for my location, but just had a short intense shower of small hail here a few mins ago :) Its mostly rain now.

Very interesting to watch the temperature fluctuations at Marham (Norfolk) from 16-17C in the sun back down to 13C in the showers, and then back up again when the sun comes out. Some pretty strong downdrafts bringing that cold air aloft down to the surface.

Currently heavy rain here in Cheltenham, there have been sporadic bursts of torrential hail and two very loud claps of thunder :-D Completely unexpected as well!

Sounds awesome! When you've finished with it, can you send that storm towards Norwich? :D

I suspect that justifies the red area now?

The first part has been and gone with just a short but sharp shower. The next streamer looks interesting!

Very bright skies to my South looking in your direction!

looking over your way to my north west there are some real dark bases and amazing cloud structure! It does look impressive! Nothing much here at the moment! suns back in and some darkish clouds skitting by !

I didn't have no hail here just heavy rain , I'm hoping a storm will still happen especially if it's moving up from lynxus's way. Also babysitting so it's hard to keep track of it all doh.gif Suns coming back out now.

I think I see what you mean, Huge white CB's with a lower covering of generally dark scud. It all looks a bit confused at the mo. Not crossing my fingers but who knows?

A long line of CU's stretching from NNW to NE and just seen on radar they are just south of Stoke... Must be massive if I can see them from here.

So close, but so far.....diddly squat here as there has been all day, as there has been all summer....*sigh*

Another very intense shower with some hail for about 30 seconds. Still no thunder though! What is wrong with this year?

Looks like the showers are becoming less intense from the west..

One can only hope that something triggers to help kick em into gear.

A few distant rumbles of thunder and some heavy rain so far here in south London, nothing to write home about. Usual weak rPm storms, first thunder heard since 26th August.

Someoe pop up an sferic charts please?
