Looks like I'm one of the next to get this, will keep you posted. Seems to have intensified as it has hit land over NW England.

Howling gales and horizontal downpours. Clattering against the doors and windows. Not saw anything like it this year. Fantastic. Currently 12.1c.

Manic stuff.

You sure!? It never really got going around here I don't think, it was all too brief I thought. I've experienced much worse and even this year infact, I remember one squally rain event was quite bad during this summer, it was quite exciting stuff then. This wasnt so far around here at least.

You never know it might pick up again but fairly dissapointed in all honesty.

And still no warnings from the MET office for trans pennine routes?

That is really bad!

So When I've just left home and am traversing the Pennines on my Royal Enfield and a 70-80mph gust of wind blows me under a lorry, at least the MET office could have warned me??

They really are getting worse! nonono.gifnonono.gif

It was manic here. My Ws was giving 207mm/hr rain for a minute.

wind is back to howling here, sounds a bit higher up at present but the tops pof the trees to my west are starting to rock again.

tbh iv'e seen worse, but this defo warranted a warning from the METO for my location up here.

Edit temp and dewpoint dropping quickly. Temp now 9.7c, dewpoint 9.5c

Well that was intense. Saw the gust front coming and it was a complete white out afterwards. Lasted several minutes. Managed to get a vid of gust front approaching but i was fairly dark so don't know how its going to come out. Going to review it now.

Oh! I see :-D that's the last place I'd like to be in a windstorm, remember the panes of glass crashing to the ground when the frames lifted at work!!

Shouldn't you be dropping the temperatures a bit away from 80'f at this time of the year? or is it a stove house?

(oops off topic!)
