What's this points thing?

You get points scored over the whole a year, with league tables.

I'm going for 4.9c

Happy with my 4.1C.

Anybody care to extrapolate the values for the first week of December?

I will edit in the late entries or reproduce the table. Probably the latter.

Anyone else finding the program doing odd things in reply? I keep getting bounced around all over the place like a plane landing today at Dublin.

I'll go with 5.8c, cold air at times but briefly with the odd mild or very mild interlude.

No definite minimum today so I'll have to estimate, going by xcweather, I'd say it was around 7.5C. Maxima are around 8.7C, so somewhere roughly about 8.1C on tomorrows update.

After that with the 06z GFS...

6.5C to the 2nd(4.9)

7.0C to the 3rd (8.0)

6.8C to the 4th (6.1)

6.1C to the 5th (3.6)

5.9C to the 6th (4.6)

6.0C to the 7th (6.5)

6.2C to the 8th (7.4)

I can see quite a large north-south divide in the average temperature. GFS6z for LS1 gives a CET of 4.6C to the 7th.

Yes the first 10 days looks like delivering a marked N-S split, scotland and n england below average and the south near or slightly above average - wind and cloud will prevent low nightime minima otherwise a colder start for all would be had.

Hadley is 6.4C to the 1st.

http://www.metoffice..._info_mean.html

Last night's min was 1.2C and maxima today have been close to average, so a fall is likely tomorrow.

Odd with the 1st day, I thought minima were recorded between 9pm and 9am? Certainly didn't seem anywhere near as cold as the 5.0C the MO decided it was before 9am, perhaps later that evening, but then it shouldn't have counted...
