Woke up just after 5am and there's a very light layer of snow on the ground/grass.

Been up to the loo and just looked out and snowing heavily here. Got a covering. Looks like the showery activity is getting across to us now

Temp 1.8c up from 1.4c dew point up to 0.4 from a low of -3.4 overnight

There appears to be gremlins afoot with the GFS00zs. Can't seem to view them. Maybe just me. Anyway, interesting day ahead perhaps?

Have just woken up to a dusting of snow and it has just started snowing lightly! The radar suggests quite a big shower to our North and west but we may just scrape the edges of it.

A little O/T but relevant in terms of which village is Britain's highest.

Highest village in Britain

At 463 metres (1,519 ft) above sea level, Flash is the highest village in England. The claim of being the highest village in Great Britain has been recognised for some time by the Guinness Book of Records. In 2007 it was upheld by the BBC, which settled a dispute with its rival claimant, Wanlockhead in Dumfries and Galloway. The Ordnance Survey measured the highest house in each village and Flash was higher. There is no doubt, however, about the Methodist Chapel being the highest in Britain, helped by the scarcity of Methodist Chapels in the Southern Uplands.

Was out feeding the chickens earlier, was raining heavily. Got the kids dressed as there were wee flakes of snow appearing in the rain mix. Now we have had a heavy burst and have a covering of SNOW!!

Snow in south Edinburgh! Nothing at 7am, but from 8-8.40 it snowed steadily and settled - sadly, it's now dripping loudly off all trees, sob, sob.

0.75cm snow, 0.5 degrees C, 0844h. c.600 foot above sl.

Been a wee bag of icing sugar explode here overnight. Had started to settle but roads just too wet at present. Ochils looking fine and white this morning.

:clapping: Woke up to wee splatters of snow on tables and cars!! Temperature is below forecasted; now at 0.5c instead of the 2c that was forecasted by the Met Office, so this means that any showers that come here will probably be of snow! :smilz38: :smilz38: :diablo::clapping:

Nothing fresh here so far this morning, just a covering on the hills from that sleety shower last night. But surely that big red blob can't miss us.

Great to here so many places reporting snow this morning! My slightly optimistic forecast of a covering for most by lunchtime looks about right now.
