WOOHOO IT'S LANDING!

That UFO from earlier, or the snaw?

All's quiet on the Eastern Front. Going to go to Tesco - it's further west so I might get lucky

It's just started to get darker with a cloud above looking ominous...

The Falkirk-Stirling blob looks like it will fringe into west Fife and possibly make it as far east as Kirkcaldy. Cloudy overhead here but it must just be the impotent remains of the eastern fringe of the blob.

Wow, that snow was such a surprise. Started off a bit sleety but then it quickly turned to snowflakes, which were amongst the biggest I've ever seen! It brought the temperature from 2.9c to 1.5c in about 10 minutes and managed to make everything white apart from the ground, which is a slushy mixture. I hope the ground can freeze a bit tonight and then the snow could settle of it. :smilz38:

Hmm the activity out in the Atlantic is starting to grow so hopefully later this afternoon and into the evening we will all see some widespread, heavy snowfall and some more accumilations.

Damn, it's cold out there. Autumn was so mild and now this. Frozen slushy slop on the lawn. Ms HC gone walkies & left me with a pile of logs to split so no more snow for a couple of hours please, then lots tonight so we get a snow day tomorrow. Heh.

Oh look at the radar.

http://www.raintoday.co.uk/

The stuff heading into the outer hebrides is looking very promising.

The precipitation around Skye, Mull, Coll & Tiree looks very promising aswell and hopefully this will grow into a massive area of snow and eventually paste much of Scotland. I would advise everyone to keep an eye on that!

Amazing sunny day here in the Borders. Light snowfall this morning but nothing since. Hopeful of some decent snowfall later in the week but I guess time will tell. Have a wonderful day everyone. x
