You see that gap between the clump coming out of Gretna area and the clump over the lakes... the one that's about the size of the gap between north newcastle and south durham?... :bad:

BT has your weather station been blown down? Your graps have been the same now for over an hour. :lazy:

Yeah, decided to sit downstairs where it's warm and not in my cold bedroom. So I took it down for a few hours. It's 3.3C.

Doesn't matter anyway as they're dying a death over the hills. I love it in the summer when we're shielded from the rain... but it's a bggr in the winter with a westerly feed!

If only it was a little colder because what happened last year gave us quite alot of snow

It's more than cold enough, so are the uppers. The dewpoint just isn't playing ball.

I thought that because we're next to the irish sea it'll reduce the uppers or does it reduce the dewpoint?

Uppers over us are colder than most of England at -5.4C. The Irish Sea is just keeping the humidity up in the wind, so the dewpoint is refusing to drop.

you've got a better chance than us now we're stuck in the middle of nothing!

Here you north easters dont expect any snow tonight maybe a very slight dusting if your very lucky were too protected by pennines as mentioned above you see this in the summer all the time with heavy rain moving east and completely dissapearing as it passes pennines.....

I kid you not - the gap is closing between the clumps, but Durham City is right in line for what is left! :S

The one to the south is looking more interesting here - but I think it will skirt literally about a mile south of the city - Ferryhill might get it.
