Really bad here, huge branch off an oak tree been ripped off up the road, electric keeps getting disrupted tiles off the roof! My good anemometer battery has died and i have no spares so I got my back up one out but the max speed it can record is 75mph and it goes blank in the gusts!! Recorded 78.6mph before the battery died.

Draw a straight line between Lowestoft and Poole is the best I can describe, moving South East....looks pretty heavy on the western flank heading towards Portsmouth!

Yes.

See below, courtesy of the wonderful NW v5 radar. The Red and White areas show the squall line is clearly defined.

Probably hit you within the next hour to hour and a half, Marie.

Don't expect too much excitement though. :good:

Is anyone else watching this link ? Its an embaressment to storm chasing to be honest. Sorry but it has to be said. Quite apart from anything else they're a danger to themselves and other road users.

Walking up and down the middle of an unlit road in bad weather with traffic at a standstill on their side, and passing them inches away in the other direction. Two of them in dark clothing from head to toe. Sheeeesh.

ant and dec lost in the wilds of northumbria get me outa here..., can't wait for them to speed round a bend into a fallen tree....

This thing just wont go away. It started getting really bad at 10am this morning and its still going strong with Prestwick seeing sustained 47mph and crazy window bending gusts hitting my house every 20 mins or so.

Getting fed up with it now!

Ahhhh so that's what made me jump! It's been very windy all day but with little rain until that hit, then it was deafening on the conservatory roof and my cat came flying in through the catflap squeaking a lot and looking rather soggy!

Fierce winds, that was an effort trying to move the car, bits of cement are coming off the roof where the tiles come off, covers off my electric and gas boxes outside have gone no where to be seen.
