Precip developing to the west of Wales, I suspect this maybe the zone to watch as it gets dragged to the ESE as the low pressure moves to the east. I maybe wrong about this but it'd make sense from what I've seen. Also you could probably include the precip already over E.Wales.

Well spotted i noticed earlier how its been developing ,thanks for your input.

HELP!! Experienced opinion needed!

Just had a look at the rain today radar (sorry NW), and there seems to be plenty o PPN over SWales now, but moving at pace into the Midlands. Is the PPN moving quicker than forecast and if so, is most of Wales likely to miss out.

Personally I'm getting mixed messages. The lampost out the back indicates sleety drizzle, but out front it's showing.....nothing at all!!

At 8pm the rainfall seemed to match the forecast re NMM. So things are going as per the models.

Is there any chance of snow here? i get up for work at 6.30am anyway, thinking about getting up earlier to see if anythings happening outside.

Looks like snow on the Heads of the Valleys cams, starting to settle in the grass on the Highest Point cam near Rassau.

Aww come on snow!!! Light rain here now :-( Temp been hovering between 3.5 & 2.5 all afternoon. Plenty of pics from those who get lucky please ;-) Happy lampost watching. Does anyone have the latest on the low? I only have access through my phone, so I am limited to going by what other fellow posters write. Enjoy your evening fellow Welshies :-))

P.S On peoples posts there is a tick showing on my phone. Are these to be clicked if I like the post? Thanks in advance x

Yes its a tick if you like button , for us any chance will be after midnight and will really need awesome evaporative cooling for me down near the Coast, Crumlin might do okay.

Im not really the person to ask but yes they are falling quickly. I expected them to rise to about 5c and hover about that for most of the night.

It's made me more hopeful but I'm not any more confident than earlier lol

Same here, still expect to wake up to wet ground and no snow, but yeah, I am also a tiny bit more hopeful! If we get snow then most people here will! :good:

Temperature here now down a degree in the last 45 minutes - now a 'balmy' 2.1°C

Not sure if this will only be a Mid Wales event... I am hoping for some snow in the early hours but doUbting the PPN will be strong enough or temperatures low enough.

Snow level should start to drop in the next 2-3hrs and we probably already have snow around 300m now. As the low pressure pass to the east of your longitude the colder air should start to dig down and the precip should start to turn to snow more widely even over lower ground.

Probasbly 12-3am is the highest snow risk, though that maybe mainly for E.Wales as the precip starts to clear.
