What height wind vectors do we look at on the radar to see where the showers are likely to go?

Man we are desperate to see some white stuff, rushed out as the whole area around me is showing pink on the NW radar but can't see nowt but then read here that it's a flake every 10 seconds.....

Temp went down to 0.8 half an hour ago and now has risen too 1.2 .Can anyone tell me why its now rising? :drinks:

Yes they are picking up moisture and a bit of warmth from the Thames and the London UHI which may be providing a bit of uplift...

What height wind vectors do we look at on the radar to see where the showers are likely to go?

Often the 700hpa vectors work, but the 850hpa ones are useful also.

The snow to our North has definitely intensified slightly, still wouldn't produce much but it's a start right? Whether it can even make it into the North of our region is yet to be seen though

Yay!!!! Proper snow and I should be shunned as after 5 years living here trying to see snow in lamp post ten doors away I just looked left and there is one next door !

Proper ligh beautiful easy to see snow !!!!

I have a floodlight that will set off if I stick my arm out of the window. I can see the smallest dust particles in that, never mind snow. I can notice the first flake with it!
