What height wind vectors do we look at on the radar to see where the showers are likely to go?

Yes they are picking up moisture and a bit of warmth from the Thames and the London UHI which may be providing a bit of uplift...

The snow to our North has definitely intensified slightly, still wouldn't produce much but it's a start right? Whether it can even make it into the North of our region is yet to be seen though

my dutch aint good but i think this is a snow satellite

A quick pass through Google Translate reveals...

Forecast Netherlands - where there is snow and rain that falls

The snow radar shows where it is currently snowing either true wet snow. By combining rain radar observations of snow creates a reliable picture of the Netherlands and the snow. The snow is shown as orange. Snow is shown as yellow. Rain as white and blue. The snow radar is updated every 5 minutes.

I have a floodlight that will set off if I stick my arm out of the window. I can see the smallest dust particles in that, never mind snow. I can notice the first flake with it!
