Interesting developments on the midday runs. GME (again) first to move it west, GFS follows suit and now UKMO !

The rate things are going the IOM is going to get buried whilst we all sit under cloudless skies :p .

Place your bets folks.

It'll be sods law now that the ECM will switch and send it east lol. Otherwise it looks like its game on for snow. Still will have to wait for tomorrows 12z to make sure.

Max temp of 2.2c here today and its currently hovering at 1.2c under this cloud. -10.3c dewpoint though.

2.1C currently, after a high of 3.6C, felt quite pleasant in the sun

Matthew Hugo@MattHugo81

One thing is for sure even if it's transitory most areas of Eng/Wales will see snow. I'll try & discuss in detail

Matthew Hugo@MattHugo81

Note the rather elongated shape to the isobars...this signals a slowing system all good for us #snowfans - http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn601.png

Paul Hudson @Hudsonweather

Room for timings to change at w/e, but @metoffice warning suggesting 2-5cms in west, with 5-10cms further east looks reasonable at moment

Matthew Hugo@MattHugo81

Here's the latest NAE model on the situation for Sat morning. Sniw getting into Wales & W areas of Eng early on. http://pic.twitter.com/9RRQRT6a

Its a step in the right direction but we still have a little way to go, ecm has been the best for us all week and the gfs has now fallen behind this model, lets hope it continues to lead the way west.

Plummeted to -1.5c already. Light wind from the SSE, clear skies.

Just been out with the dogs and it feels perishing.

-9.0c iso covering much of the region atm. colder air further west than some of models predicted for today.

Everything further West AGAIN on this run.

Can I just remind everyone that on Sunday, that warm front was progged to be over the Eastern Midlands up until 24 hours out, then it changed to Western Midlands, then Wales.

As this front meets the strong block, it's going to stall somewhere over Wales. The Met Office warning for Sunday will cover our region tomorrow too. 20cms widely if we get another shift Westwards. Hopefully the SE will get nothing.

Either way, we're gonna get plastered.

Also, check the GFS out.

There's colder air behind the front thanks to a NW'erly feed. This would also mean that back edge is snow if somehow the front get's shifted Eastwards. It's win win for us for once. :D
