Gritters were deployed in the Croydon Borough at 14:00 hrs. Code Name: Operation Yamkin :help::cold:

Snow Ploughs will be deployed during the evening and onwards :help::clap::cold:

MetO have indicated that the first band of snow will intensify into Sunday. Having viewed the latest radar image, there does appear to be TWO bands of ppn heading our way. This is really going to be very interesting indeed. Could we be looking at 10cm++? Also, anyone for THUNDER SNOW? :help::D:clap::yahoo::cold:

I just love Thundersnow....!

Yeah, we've just come back from doing our weekly shop (as we do every Saturday :lazy: ) and it was like it was Christmas Eve. Never seen so many fools panic buying

Did my shopping this morning, Tesco's had run out of bags of salt by 10.00 am

Just looking ahead to Monday, we see another feature working its way in

post-7073-0-86962500-1328367837_thumb.gi

Although taking a look a 850hPa temperatures and Dew Points, it does seem likely to fall as rain as these are just on the wrong side of marginal, surface temperature are okay though

Anyone have any thoughts? Hopefully we see some slight upgrades and can keep the colder air for this to be snow.

This thing is heading in real quick, looks to be in London in 2 hours! That's 2 ahead of predictions.

Hmmm, yes, I thought this earlier. But....I do think with our airflow here counteracting with it's westerly movement, it will slow it (Well I hope anyway) otherwise it will be gone by midnight at that rate of current movement.
