I'd love it if we had our own micro climate! We are unfortunately only just off the top of Cockshot Hill, not anything higher, but occasionally it seems to help :p . Much settling in Reigate?

I walk up cockshot hill every day to work... :) everything that's falling is settling - not a lot is falling though! About 1-2cm at the mo

You've changed your tune...

From the intensity rates in the West of the region picking up and the reports of them having 2-3cm already - That is going to be a good estimate imho

Did not say this part of the world would receive 10cms

Cheer up you lot down there if you're still waiting for the heavy stuff and worried its not coming... here's a preview video- I'm 8 miles from leeds at 86m above sea level, in the far more marginal (today) north of England and I've still got 15cm plus drifts outside. You lot will be rolling in it come morning!

Night all!

5 mins down the road from Crystal Palace/Syd and I can confirm approaching 1cm of lying snow, currently snowing moderate intensity but small flakes.

I've just checked again and got 2cm, come up the hill a bit, we've got more snow :p

Say about 3 cms now at Watford - still moderate snow, though the temperature has risen to +0.4C and a humidity of 89%.

Has anybody got a formula for working out the dew point with that info?

probably very slightly on the wet side but still crunchy underfoot and laying on the main road, even though it was wet earlier and i didnt think it would lay on the road at all
