10cm is possible. 4inches. Could be the biggest snow event here then since December 2010. About time:)

Is there anybody from aberystwyth seems to be a heavy snow on the meto map? Surely this is a good sign for the rest of us?

If BBC graphics are right, we're heading for 12 hours of snowfall in the SE of Wales

Good morning folks - upgrades, upgrades, upgrades - we are going to get it now - snow snow snow - meto will go amber by lunchtime I reckon - could be even looking at 24 hours of the snowy stuff - cold over the weekend with more snow as the front comes back down from the north again and then a full on northerly come tuesday - THE WINTER STRIKES BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :clapping: :clapping: :drinks: :smilz38:

PS - Gotta get dressed and get to Tescos before lunchtime!

Should start snowing for some in eastern wales between 6pm and midnight - as darkness takes hold then

Ok this one may be a goer. Luckily i have tomorrow off work, unluckily i have the start of man-flu. Looking good for this evening and way into tomorrow.

Hope roads are clear for Sun as i have a ticket.

Only concern is the start of it. I'm thinking around 8-9pm I hope its not before as getting across the heads of the valleys will be a nightmare.

Models have certainlty upgraded for Wales today in terms of precip totals BUT...

Still this seems to be a bit of a messy set-up, and I'm still VERY concerned about the 850hpa temps, which the GFS keeps above 0C for all of Wales till 03z...which probably in this set-up leads to sleet and variations of rain...

So day time could see sleet turning back to snow as the temps lower then? Roads would be slush until night fall then skating rinks!!

-7 this morning up in gods country...... Blaenavon that is! Its a cold one.... How much can we expect to see here??

We still got snow lying from the previous two poor efforts of snow... lol and the Coity Mountain is still white. Cracking moon and red sky at around 7am this morning!

Forecasts are talking about 5cm - 10cms or more possibly even 4 inches + and where you are I wouldn't mind betting you'll get that and more!
