A bit surprised to hear it's snowing, there's nothing on the radar.

Cloud overhead here is very broken, so temp is still dropping - albeit not as quickly as before.

Currently at -6c.

-2*C in London right now, forecast of -3*C - I take it would probably drop to around -7/-8*C in London tonight?

IF the cloud stays away then it's certainly possible, -2.6C here now.

Yeah, just as I thought... but there's surely something else that keeps those temperatures up. Yes London! A city! LOL - I can't remember what the coldest I've ever had is.... I'd have a gander but It's either January 2010 or December 2010. XC weather shows -6 for London tonight.

Edit: just seen, −14 °C Northolt winter 2010. What date though?

The latest radar does show some very light ppn starting to form in East Kent, with the Euro radar showing a very small tongue of ppn coming in from the Hook of Holland. Wind direction not perfect for a streamer, but could come round later...

disturbance over Germany and the low countries is being pushed our way by a low over Venice which travelled over the last 24 hours right up the Adriatic this might be what gives the light snow cover in the se and London overnight, I think if Steve M looks at the radar and the satellite he will give a better understanding

By heck it's cold out there... As some of you know, local government doesn't exactly pay well so I moonlight as a sort of school caretaker where I open up a local primary school some evenings for Zumba classes etc... I went down there (having had to scrape the inside of my car's windscreen!) to find that all of the padlocks on the gates to the school have frozen shut! No Zumba for the hardy tonight!

Could be interesting for the school tomorrow...
