Puddles freezing over rapidly now. The temperature must be plunging here ( Hatfield Peverel, near Chelmsford )

Absolutely bitter on tankerton seafront..... Had nice lunch at Jojos but road outside had frozen over again by 2pm and pavements are ice rinks. Going to be cold one already minus 3c with sun out.......

I have noticed that it seems even colder in central London this afternoon that it has been recently. There are even piles of snow still remaining from Sunday's snowfall. For snow to remain in central London, even after heavy falls if very rare. It usually disappears after a day or two. I think this evening is going to be a very cold night.

As mentioned earlier that incoming cloud off of the North Sea might do nothing other than stop a sharp fall in the temperature. Acting like a blanket.

I would rather the cloud stayed away as not going to get any decent snow and would rather go for a deep harsh cold night.

On the way already, Temp -2.0c & DP -8.6c!!

That's what could be annoying about tonight, little snow even for Kent and for places that don't snow it'll be useless cloud which could prevent some interestingly low temperatures. :(

Incredible Temps at the moment

Southend nearing -3c / -7c

Manston is at -4c / -9c

Wattisham is -3c / -10c

This all with sun out - Cloud is building out to my east now so temps might rise a little bit when that comes over

Round objects - why can't it take a hike. The best opportunity we've had to get record lows for years and it gets poxy cloudy. Can't win ... :wallbash:

Would rather a cold night than a poxy cm of snow.

Just touched -4c.

Must be similar here, as I'm only 4 miles or so away
