. Very dry air and clearing away the fog and cloud,

lowering the wet-bulb and will preserve remaining snow cover. .

Forgive this interloper but wouldn't very dry air actually cause the snow cover to sublime? Just a thought.

very rapid temperature drop since 3:30, was 2.0C at 3:30PM, dropped by over 3C in less than 2 hours! now -1.4C :)

What does that mean?

Sublimation is when the solid phase of a substance goes straight to the gaseous phase without passing through its liquid phase. Solid CO2 (dry ice) is maybe the best example.

manston is currently reading -6 dp -11 wth cloud pretty amazing..

But it has now gone up since that crappy cloud has moved in I bet...

What a lovely walk home I had in the crisp dry winter air. The dusk was dwindling on the western horizon adding to the atmosphere and once I saw the moon people I was mesmerised.

Temp -1.8 Dew -7.6 Humidity 65%

-4c and -8 dew that stuff in belgium might give light flakes for some of the night.....
