OK, it's all gone again in the 12z run. Never mind, plenty more along in a while, like buses........

fax chart for saturday has a front over the south east

should give some rain where it is needed

this is a run from gem at 144

http://www.meteociel...ode=1&archive=0

this looks very similar to our last block from the east

remember how bad the models were at predicting it

http://www.meteociel...ype=0&archive=0

ecm at the same time

not that much difference

these are the closest matches i could find

run 16 looks like this

Lol I love snow as much as the next person, but I am enjoying this weather, and would actually rather it stayed reasonably mild now :), judging by your FL chart posting it will stay this way for the foreseeable.

Yep! Don't put away the sledges just yet........:)

I burnt my sledges on the GFS 06z bonfire :(

Give it another 24 hours to start getting the track of the initial low- remember the models will try & take it over the block instead of under it..

Changing the subject somewhat, but what happened to this exceptional mild and 15-16 C today? I don't know about anyone else but my max was 12.4C. Big deal! In many Februarys, this wouldn't be the mildest day of the month and I had 16.6 on Thursday, so certainly not this one.

Has anyone got any stunning maxima in this region, or have the meto hugely over-egged the mild pudding for our region?

Snow on West Sussex, tons of it!!!! Erm no, just an indication on the 00z GFS of a slight possibility of some snow showers early next week.

But for those people in Portsmouth*, found this earlier which indicates it is going to get slammed tonight with a snow storm!!

*See now you've all raced off to read that and discovered, like I did, it's Portsmouth Maine USA.........
