Netweather forecaster Paul Michaelwhite said: “Recent springs have all seen high temperatures into the 20s and there’s no reason to expect it won’t happen this year.â€

Well if we can't have Winter weather, lets get some warmth please! (with night time rain for the ground and drought condition eh?)

I remember going to Felixstowe during the heatwave of 76, there was a line along the beach ware the waves had washed up thousands of ladybirds, and there were small drifts of the ladybirds against steps and doorways.

I certainly wouldn't get to far ahead of ourselves in terms of a mild Spring especially March just yet !!

Anyone planning on doing garden duties be very careful, we've seen it before :winky:

Gorgeous day here. Really felt like summer. Some awesome clouds today as well, quite a few anvils and towering cumulus. Will try and post a picture later.

Well if we can't have Winter weather, lets get some warmth please! (with night time rain for the ground and drought condition eh?)

Jim Dale, senior meteorologist at British Weather Services, said the warm spell is due to a block of air coming in from the Mediterranean.

He said: “There is absolutely no chance of the cold coming back over the next few weeks, the end of February and the beginning of March is looking significantly warm.

I think after this week is through their stories will change

Steve, The solar storm will change events during the week and the much colder conditions will start heading back from the 3rd march.

A stunning day yesterday, possibly one of the best of the year so far and certainly one of the nicest February days for years!

yep, same here - it was lovely to be outside in warm sunshine, we had a lovely long walk in the morning and saw so many signs of spring including loads of squirrels.

When I got home I decided to check on Spikey the three legged hedgehog and found he was awake from his hibernation and was out having a drink so I've moved him from the loft back into the garden to continue his rehab !

Fabulous weekend - t shirts while gardening.. Looks to be an interesting couple of weeks weather wise - dare I say exciting - was planning to plant out some things but have put that off now till 3rd week of March - I love this time of year, the weather can be so volatile.. we need some wet stuff from the sky, maybe it'll be white?

... recon the well proportioned lady hasn't sung her last winter song yet :D
