It may be a case of 'may the forth (or fifth) be with you' Sunday night into Monday for a smidgen chance of rain turning to snow as a little feature leaves our shores.

Fax charts might show something later today.. Pixel rushes off for more straws

The weather forecast on BBC Essex this morning suggested that we might have a very wet spell later on Sunday which lasts into Monday morning - something we've not seen for a while here (if it happens..)

Have to say that I'm looking forward to hearing rain again. We had a little during the thaw, don't think I've seen any since then.

I've just got this nagging doubt about it though, like the main event will stay south of us.

It looks like the weather is proving very difficult to forecast in the medium term at the moment. Weatheronline is now talking about it becoming very mild from the middle of next week again.

ecm teasing us having snow on sunday night to our west

post-15445-0-09279100-1330688096_thumb.j

we just need to lp to move further east along the channel before it sinks so our region is on the northern/western edge, rather than the eastern edge currently forecast. unlikely at this stage but fingers crossed. gfs 0 and 6z keeps it as rain for all of england :sorry:

by late tonight and tomorrow it will be showing on the nae/nmm so we will finally know for sure (not that any of us are really expecting any nice surprises). At least typing will be much easier without my fingers permenantly crossed!

I'll be delighted if it does turn warm. I'm off to Somerset next weekend for All Tomorrow's Parties. Butlins can be very bleak in cold weather.

those uppers cheekily digging down into france while avoiding the se of england is really quite frustrating!!

" sunday night - heavy rain and strong winds into Monday mornings rush hour with possible Snow down to low levels in the SE... Certainly one to keep an eye on"

You never know guys... You never know

I know BBC don't have a brilliant record but if they are mentioning things this early then things must be good surely?
