Sunny and breezy here now with some cloud and blue sky. Very warm but not as muggy as yesterday.

Temperature is Sky rocketing now with crystal clear blue skies moving in from the South East.

It's going to be a stunning afternoon here after the extreme drizzle from the last 12 hours!

I feel like Tantalus.sad.pngwink.png

Edit. Actually, I don't now, as the shaded area stops short of where I live.unsure.png

laugh.png I've been watching the second practice session at Silverstone on the TV....it is hissing down there but it's actually stopped raining here and has brightened up considerably - just shows what a difference a few miles makes !

I just had a text from someone who is camping there for the weekend and apparently it started raining at midnight and hasn't stopped since angel.gif

I wonder if any of those showers, south of London, are going to provide any T&L?

I hope my brother wears waterproof stuff for Sunday too.

I'm actually feeling quite confident now that quite a few of us will get thunder and lightning before Sunday is out. I know I've said something similar before mind you...

Yep, just a few patchy shallow cumulus in the sky, full on sun and already into the low twenties, stunning day now and dewpoint is at 60f as well!

Thanks MK, how many times and how often should I say 'indoors'? Is it like a spell? Sounds exciting, I'll try it (but what happens if I get mixed up and say 'outdoors' by mistake - will I just get wet again?)

After a couple hours of lovely sunshine here in nw London, I've got some impressive towers going up and black skies overhead. Not expecting more than just rain but some tasty looking skies

Yes, I can see those on the radar. Seem to be heading NW now.

As an aside, there are now 50 flood warnings on the Environment Agency website, so undoubtedly others have had significant rain today.

The sun coming out really building some convection here, just had very short shower, could it build enough to set some sharp ones off?

. Hard to know whether to watch the sky or the tennis!! Seems we've got off fairly lightly here in London with rainfall today, unless that changes later of course! I hear that some areas up north have had a deluge. Thats a lot of flood warnings isn't it. No doubt will increase as the run off goes into rivers etc.

Yay clap.gif lovely blue sky and sunshine now...but we did have to suffer 9mm of rain since midnight to get here !

Some concerns over flooding in the Ouzle Valley, I've just seen this message from the Parks Trust.....

Our grazing sheep and cattle will be moved to higher ground this weekend to avoid possible flooding in the Ouse Valley and Ouzel Valley parks. This will mean that for a short period of time there will be a higher density of cattle in some areas of parkland.

If you have any concerns over the safety of our grazing animals due to the risk of flooding please call

us on 01908 233600 where an ‘out of hours’ emergency number is available.

......obviously these ones will be okay rolleyes.gif

London doesn't normally have 'Bad Weather' anyway if the truth be told .....

Today could be classed as horrendous for July... but hardly severe weather !!!

Despite me really wanting some long periods of sun now, it was lovely to wake up to the sound of rain. No storms last night.
