Glorious until around 3pm here, generally cloudy since though very warm with a high of 24.5c.

Tommorow looks a bit confusing, GFS has it cloudy most of the day whilst BBC say it will burn off by 12.

Sun burnt through the mist here about an hour ago although the sky is extremely hazy.

Tommorow's thunder risk pretty much gone now, next week looks very unsettled and on the warm side to, Wednesday in particular has the makings of a major rain event and if it ends up delayed a few hours it could well get very warm.

Update: Cloudy afternoon unfortunately, still bright though and warm enough at 21.7c

Sharp shower here as a band of rain moves through.

Driving down Brettel Lane from Brierley Hill just now, I got a very good view right out to the Shropshire hills. Looks very dark and murky out that way. However, the radar shows that the line of rain has weakened somewhat this far north. Having said that, the heavy cells towards the south of the line are moving north quickly...so if the band moves slow enough eastwards, timing could help us here.

A bit of a bust for us storm-wise today sadly, but some really good potential for the next few days, and if severe weather is your 'thang' then check out the charts, and posts from our very own midlands regional storm nut Weather09 in the model output & convective threads...looks tasty indeed!

Yes Wednesday looks to hold some real potential. Only worry I tend to have in these situations is saturated air or something like that which inhibits storm development.

Horribly dark and grim today like a Mid January day only warm at 19.3c.

Wednesday's a difficult one, it does look like the area of rain will move up from the south at incredible pace considering how warm temperatures look like getting before it arrives.

Really warm here tonight. Temperature is 17.5c and Dewpoint 15.6c so very muggy. An array of insects are active tonight, more than usual imo, seeing spiders, moths and even a few mosquitoes in the house tonight. The rest of the week looks warm by day and by night, possibly hot by the weekend.

How warm is it where you are tonight?

Around 16*C here at the moment. Could do with being a touch cooler to make sleeping during the nights-times a bit less of a challenge.

Looks like the weather front will stall right over us this weekend, come on westward shift!

Very dark and grim this morning despite sunshine surrounding us, 22c and sunny spells forecast this afternoon so the strato muck needs to go

Sunny earlier on but cloudy with a few sunny intervals now. :( Could be quite a murky day again.

However this weekend is a knife edge for us. Will be warm at the very least. I think we will do ok here though the far NW Midlands may suffer more.

What is the wind expected to be like here tomorrow? Obviously not as much as the SW but I haven't heard much about it.

Been a relatively nice day. Perfect weather and perfect conditions. Long sunny spells with enough heat in the sun for t-shirt weather, but no too much heat that your sweating after 30 seconds in the sun - spot on. Hoping for some torrential rain tommorrow even though the storms or thunder wont happen now, heavy rain can be just as much fun too watch. Weekend looks nice, but too hot - hope we get 24 tops as ill be sat at the football on Saturday afternoon and I dont like Crabs.

Oh my gosh! :-O Just took a look at the radar, and that sure is some proper torrential rain to the South at the moment. Never seen anything quite as intense as that in a good while. If it keeps up its strength, (which it very well may considering heavy/torrential rain is predicted) we could be in for a proper slamming of wet stuff.

Yep, as I expected, nothing exciting however there are a few sferics on the South coast.

This weekend is so up in the air. Meto goes for a boring weekend of light showers and 21c whilst the GFS we wouldnt be far off 27-30c. Hope the GFS is right but of course there is that feeling it wont be.

Still plenty of time guys. The lightning down south seems to be moving further North.
