Indeed, although i think the rain has finally stopped for a bit, sky seems to be brightening. But i don't hold much hope for anything thundery for here.

Have been some fantastic convective skies around today though. Another rash of very heavy showers now heading in from Wales at the moment.

Dull cold and grey this morning as usual, currently 15.1c.

I see next weeks high is in a perfect position to stream Shropshire and Staffordshire slate grey skies all week whilst the rest of the region enjoys 22-26c, this summer is a broken record now, roll on the guaranteed cloudless skies of September and October.

GFS 12z putting the final nail in the coffin for pleasant weather on Monday & Tuesday, it looks like it will end up fizzling and dying right over us leaving a legacy of cloud then as that starts breaking up the high slips west to allow cloud to filter through the cheshire gap, cursed :lol:

Good, dont want the sun! looks mostly cloudy/rain at times next week anyway, only sat and sun look sunny for NW England northwards

generally cloudy here but DRY!....rain is developing to my east as local convergence sets up but thankfully the showers seemed to be drifting slowly eastwards so hopefully should stay dry

again another dull, cool day, a high of 14.7c, though at least we have avoided the heavy showers today as they are in the south east
