18C here in Warrington and now 100% cloud cover.

Was that summer in Warrington this morning ?

We will have our 'summer' tomorrow & Monday, as will the rest of the country.

After that, we will have a front plaguing us for the 3 days that COULD of been hot. Meaning whilst we have the lovely cloud & drizzle, the rest of the country will be seeing some horrible sunshine. Yipee. wallbash.gifsorry.gif

I'm not entirely sure we will get 21-23C down here though.. perhaps inland yes, but around the coast, 18-19C looks more likely.

I recall a few years ago we had a shortlived, similar setup, and the 564 dam was north of here, yet with the cloud, and the little bits of drizzle, it felt cool.. not like you would associate with an airmass of that height. I expect the same this time around, humid but pretty cool feeling, if the sun does not make an appearance.

Today it feel quite cool in the breeze, certainly not a t-shirt day here.

24C is being forecast here with cloudy skies.. so nothing unusual there.

On previous form, I'm not expecting anything other than same old same old here....

Same old 100% featureless cloud cover

Same old drizzle at best

Same old temps not getting above 17-18c at best

Hope the South enjoys their taste of summer...because we won't see any of it up here

I think temperatures will certainly make 23/24C. Other than this, I agree. :(

Tenterhooks. I'm crossing every body part I can in the hope this despicable front is shunted even further north (sorry to those currently north of it!).

Right now we're looking at a textbook defintion of Sod's Law.

For those who want warmth, Yorkshire and northern parts of Lincolnshire look good according to NAE on Monday - temperatures are not unusual in an average summer, but the high given it has been very cool recently. I suspect other parts of the region such as Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside will also be warm Monday onwards anyway.

The Met Office is forecasting 18C lows next week.. that is very hard to achieve here during hot spells due to clear skies. Cloudy skies might achieve it.

A glorious day here so far. Wall to wall sunshine, with the temperature already over 22C.

Looks like Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday could have plenty of sunshine around now with the front being placed further North.

Oh dear Cumbria certainly isn't about to join in the warmth that the SE in particular is going to experience in the next few days.

Today has been overcast and with a gusty wind it hasn't felt very summery. Temperatures below average at 18-19 degrees. Yesterday started off promising with early sunshine but the clouds rolled in and temperatures were cool for late July at 17 degrees. So whilst it has been a dry weekend so far, given the cloud amounts and below average temps overall it has been rather dissapointing compared to what most of England and Wales has enjoyed.

The outlook is quite grim here, with rain overnight, becoming slow moving and lasting into Tuesday making sure temps stay below average. By mid week we should see some brighter conditions but probably showers and temps still just below average, by the end of the week its back to the cool showery conditions again. Will summer ever get going here in Cumbria - my hopes are fading, August on average is the worse summer month in the Lake District...

Sunny and 24c today with low humidity.. this weather has tied in nicely with the annual Party in the Park festival - last year was cool and showery I believe. I wonder if Leeds Festival will be as nice? (very much doubt it!)

Remarkable warm and windy afternoon with max of 21.7C and peak gust of 45mph about the same time.

That was a rather freaky gust but unusually windy nonetheless.

Excellent drying weather for hay and muddy patches.

Lovely summery day today, stayed on the favourable side of that nuisance weather front which is affecting northern areas. High cloud is showing out to the west, as the sun dips away. I expect tomorrow will be cloudier.

For warmth, southern Northern England is looking fairly decent, more especially Yorkshire (if the GFS is to be believed) - but just how sunny will it be? That is the question.
