You haven't seen Norfolk slugs....they're THIS big!!!!!!!!!!!!! And they have bicycles help.gif

Quite scared now. Slugs in Surrey only think they are big and have 4x4s to try to prove it!

John, as ever thanks for the charts but I wish you hadn't as they suggest a warm spell from 21st, excactly when we are away on our GB holiday. I don't have a problem with despair; it's the hope I can't stand!

It's hard to convey your thoughts on a message board and hence it's easy to appear sarcastic, but I'll never disparage anyone's forecast (unless it's stupid, like predicting 6" lying snow for several days, at this time of year)

I thought there would be heavy rain by now here, which is obviously wrong - I don't know what's going to happen for the rest of the night, but it's humid and cloudy here now.

I totally appreciate John's forecasts and I really hope his chart postings come to fruition. I'm optimistic myself of a good late July / August now.biggrin.png My posting above is not to be read as sarcastic.smile.png

hi steve i reckon rain aint to far away from you

i took no sarcasm from your post and hope the charts i posted tonight are right

i am a snow lover but we really need some decent weather now to cheer us

all up and have a break from this dross.

the end result would be nice as well

funny enough it feels a long way off the 21st but its only a week away and

its not deep into fi

so fingers crossed all

Maybe that lightning was somewhere near me then?unsure.png

Unfortunately I was out like a light then.smile.png

JP was right in that the rain started here soon after he posted. It looks like the band of rain is quite narrow, but heavy; in fact only 5 miles north of me would have collected a lot more than here (flicking through the radar sequence)

Currently still gently raining.

A band of heavy and locally thundery rain will remain slow moving across parts of central England and East Anglia during the first part of this morning before slowly easing by midday. To the south of this band some heavy, slow moving thundery showers are likely to develop and persist into the afternoon.

The public should be prepared for the risk of further localised flooding given that the ground remains saturated across much of the area.

This warning has been updated to amber across parts of the southeast Midlands and East Anglia.
