The worst may pass north of there. It seems more heavy rain than t&l too.

Undoubtedly I would be getting wet, but to me the worst of it appears slightly to the north of the City. In any case, although still rather potent, that particular zone looks like it's on its way out - although you can never be sure of these things. It looked much worse an hour or so back, when it was producing lightning - I haven't seen anything since then.

Edit, it's now fired up near and north of Wroxham again, I expect t&l from this...

My eyes are now drawn to our southwest, to see if any of those lines of showers have our name on them.

aylesbury

bucks

Cheers.

The cell near Norwich looks like it's decaying again; maybe it picked up a bit of heat from the City?

A much smaller cell, west of Attleborough, has produced a bit of lightning now.

Heavy rain for a short while but nothing biblical/apocalyptic/monsoon like*

*Delete as appropriate biggrin.png

One rumble of thunder heard as it intensified t'other side of Norwich. Not a thunderstorm in my book!

I don't think I'll see anything, but never had a great deal of confidence today. Still, never say never and all that.biggrin.png

Great news for the Netweather Stormchase BBQ Which this year is Camping on the South Coast, thought for sure we would have rain and wind to contend with, but for the 4th year it looks like the weather is going to be sunny and warm.

Thank god for that!

Tomorrow is the last day for Storm chances for quite some time I would have thought so make the most of it!

If I was Norfolk Sheep, I might be tempted to drive a short way north... Pretty dramatic up there at the moment. Recent lightning strikes.

Yes, you might be lucky, if that stuff to your west can hold it together. I feel I've almost no chance now, but not worried.

Despite the fairly good storms the SE has seen this year, my house has a storm helmet onmad.gif

I'm hoping the warmer weather coming up will spark some stuff off.

I'm thinking I might have the worst recent record of the regular posters here.

I saw one very distant flash last week, so far off I couldn't hear thunder.dry.png

Even in Barbados, although I had a half hour extremely heavy downpour, this was without thunder. The only thunder I heard was very distant and from one storm.

Other than that nothing since about April!ohmy.png

Don't like to say this, but Norwich is about to get hit hard...

Not driving anywhere, right on top of me :D

Fantastic storm, ton of lightning and constant thunder, and another cell right behind it. Managed to get out and enjoy the lightning before the heavens have opened again. You wait ages bah blah blah! :D
