I see the BBC is forecasting 32C (90F) for London and Chelmsford (the only location I checked other than London) next Wednesday. I can see no reasonable sign of thunder on the charts, after the next couple of days.

Morning,

Blue sky and sunshine here nice to wake up to but there are a few more clouds around now.

Tomorrow is the start of the MK International Festival ( http://www.ifmiltonkeynes.org/home.html ) it would be good if we are in a more settled and dry period now for that, especially tomorrow night for the Les jardins de Feu (Fire Gardens) in Campbell Park, it should be spectacular...

Amazing how a few miles can show the complete opposite! Once again it's a drab, grey and drizzly morning. I would like to wake up to sunshine and blue skies just once lazy.gif

Yellow Warning of Rain for East of England :

Essex, Southend-on-Sea & Thurrock

valid from 1200 Thu 19 Jul to 2359 Thu 19 Jul

Yellow Warning of Rain for London & South East England :

Brighton and Hove, East Sussex, West Sussex, Kent, Medway, Surrey & Greater London

valid from 1200 Thu 19 Jul to 2359 Thu 19 Jul

Issued at: 0842 on Thu 19 Jul 2012

Heavy showers will develop during the afternoon and evening. Some may become slow moving and merge to give 1-2hours of heavy rain with a risk of isolated thunder. There is a small risk of localised surface water flooding, particularly in urban areas. As with all showery events many places will miss the heaviest rain and some may stay dry all day.

The public should be aware of the risk of localised disruption, particularly to transport during peak periods.

Quite cloudy here now - there is a few patches of blue sky and a bit of sunshine though

Absolutely. But it's now on the change here. Very breezy with some huge clouds building to the south. By all accounts we may ALL be waking up to sunshine next week. YAY! :D

Just the usual grey flat blanket of cloud that has persisted for most of the summer here now. It really is quite depressing sorry.gif

One side of my office, facing north / northwest has the stratocumulus boring look. The other side (which I can't see out, unless I move) has the look of showers building up.

Definitely need a change. Thank God it looks imminent now.cool.png

I think it must be the shock of the impending nice weather. We are speechless!

It's absolutely hammering down here in Ipswich; I was just going out for a walk as well. :(

Afternoon all. A lot of the earlier stratocumulus has gone, to leave a reasonably fair day here.

Looking forward to leaving for home soon. Been looking at the screen all day today, as very busy. My eyes are very bloodshot. It looks like I've been on the booze!

The radar isn't as exciting as I'd thought it might've been by now! Was hoping to come home from work to see lots of showers breaking out :(
