You guys should close your curtains and blinds or shutters during the day when you're out at work and only open them , or windows, when the sun is off them, during hot spells.

I have a south facing flat in London and have had to adapt over the years and do this - so am enjoying only 22 degrees indoors right now. Over a prolonged hot period, temps do creep up indoors , but not nearly as much, if you do this.

Took me years to resist the "it's sunny, open the windows" instinct though - trust me though, it works ( took having a partner who comes from southern europe to teach me!)

Enjoy the hot weather outdoors and come back to a cooler home!

It makes a difference, I always do that for the south facing rooms on the back of the house, they all have blinds at the windows for this very reason !

I'm taking a fan to bed now, I don't normally as they make so much noise but I'm so tired I think I could sleep though anything tonight - night all angel.gif

Just a quick question to anyone who knows, it's been nagging me for a while and I'm not really sure why but it says that this satellite is visible, which i suppose means that it is the raw photos coming from that satellite, so why can we not see any street lights? I know it's incredibly random but that's honestly how I work in this heat.

The visible satellite only works during daylight hours..

Very interesting John, Raised see temps will very much aid our chances of some good T Storms,Especially of the continents. Find it quite weird that the METO, Have not even suggested a Warning at all,Could be the case they need to keep the tourist's happy.?

Morning each. 65f here in Ippy with clear skies, sunshine and no wind. Oh, and very noisy gulls. :D It was so hot last night I slept on top of the bed. Very uncomfortable for a while. 'Phew'
