Shower producing sferics around Marlow south bucks looks good at the minute. Hopefully reach here in an hour or two if it doesn't die off, moving very slowly so a little worried about the heavy rain killing the inflow.

Nothing to report from Marlow at the mo except big clouds! Will let you know when anything gets here!

A flash and a rumble. That's the first I've seen/heard for years. Bring it on.

Yes, all of this recent activitey has managed to just go around Bristol.

lol my mistake, it's actually north of reading heading NE through Oxfordshire / Bucks border. I said Marlow because it was the only place near to the shower I could see on the map mega_shok.gif

Thunder in North Bristol now. Seen a couple of good flashes and loud thunder within a couple of miles of me.

Can actually see those storms that's just about flirting with us moving NE over the Bristol Channel. Nothing heard here due to the fact I'm listening to a brass band contest online but those showers popping up in the South West is looking good.

Clouds are very slow moving here at the moment and getting bigger!

Can I just ask what your exact location is Cloud?

I seem to be in a gap and I have a feeling it will stay that way with stroms going in every direction around me, but I hope im wrong! I can see a fair amount of convection over the Bristol channel though!

yes it's looking a little bleak - storms to the left of us, thunder to the right - here i am stuck in the middle with you - meto have amber warnings for neath/port talbot/swansea/powys - but not us - mmmmmmmm - could be good!!!!!!!!!!

It was a bit of a surprise to read as i wasn't looking at the radar lol. Have found a couple of local webcams and the sky is very dark in the distance in Henley

A few rumbles of thunder at Sandhutton despite no clouds in the vicinity that look large enough to give thunder- some bright echoes on the radar developing to the SSE though!

It's just west of me now near York. Quite a lot of thunder and very impressive convection.

I'm just about to head up to Sutton Bank and hopefully make it there before the storms and get some pics.

Haven't even had a chance to sort through yesterdays pics yet.

I'm off, good luck all :)

You've got a cell to your west that literally formed over Ripon.

Thunder here in east York for a good 40 mins now, getting closer and darker, cell growing from the SW, must have just missed Headingley earlier. Next door neighbour still pegging the washing out though.

Eerily calm though, wind hasn't got up yet

Whereabouts are you, somewhere round Stockton or Warthill? I'm playing golf at Forest Park later!!!!!!!
